WD-40 Display Flattery

This approach to package and display versatility has been documented before for WD-40 here on FixtureCloseUp. Here Blaster flatters WD-40 with a near-direct knock-off of the clip-on hang tab. And was it the result of shelf-edge espionage that all WD-40 cans were mysteriously missing their cap clips? Obviously the lubricant merchandising wars are heating up, and imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. But should you trust the package similarity as a reflection of the product inside?  Is the WD-40 formulation still King of the Hill? CLICK the thumbnail for an alternate view.
