Arnold® Short Bread Stands Tall

Which is the true business end of a loaf of bread? Here short breads … not shortbread … are stood on end to billboard more of the package design. Did it sell more baked goods? I can’t say because the department just been stocked and refaced. But I was impressed with how well-balanced physically, even if not nutritionally, the Arnold® Whole Wheat brand was. It stood in rows uncomplainingly like good soldiers, contrasting with equally well-known Maier’s® Italian. I wonder if the baker gave each loaf a final pat on the butt before baking in order to allow it to stand so. CLICK the thumbnail for the closeup look.
