Retail Fossil in Wood

Sheep or Dinosaur, Mad About Wood, Main2

Readers of FixturesCloseUp know I seldom memorialize whole window displays or entire store designs. I am more interested in the Chotckies (See Yiddish Tchotchke) of retail merchandising. This surely would make a good one for stopping store traffic. The artist named it “Sheep” but I imagine more Triceratops. It was among the offerings at the New York Museum of Arts and DesignMAD about Wood” exhibition. I am sure visual merchandisers and store designers would revel in the selections, and new ideas for use of a natural material for their own in-store Chotchkies.
