I have seen Slotwall-capable Pegboard Trays in clear plastic. But here the designer was intent on reinventing the fixture with a Slotwall-only Backplate tang. Of course Slotwall fittings often cross over to Slatwall and Slatwire. Still, so do the Pegboard versions. Plastic molds are expensive. Before you design a new fitting for any of these surfaces, check around. You might find what you need under another name or in another display surface category. And if you do design, consider designing for as broad a range of display surfaces as possible.
